Synopsis

Medellín up close presents a tour of the city with the ground as a point of view. This is the city you see when you go for a walk, there are no aerial photographs in this volume. The panoramic images have been taken, at most, from the terrace of a building that the reader will be able to walk on tomorrow if he wants to.

As native Medellinenses and journalists, for years we have snooped every corner of this city, its moments and characters, its moods. With this in mind, we have prepared this material with the aim of providing an unconventional souvenir-guide. We have decided to transmit the daily life, the evocations and the spirit of Medellín in these short stories.

After walking the city, visiting the places we highlight, flirting with the guayacanes, encountering its traditions, tasting the food and the cuisine, only then, you will tell us if we have succeeded in our endeavor.
